Things to consider when choosing the right vacuum flask

Recently, the vacuum flask has become an incredibly necessary product as it is not only suitable for indoor activities, but also for outdoor activities. Those who like to hike long distances should definitely take a vacuum bottle with them in order to stay hydrated. Here are some points to consider when choosing the right vacuum bottle for hiking

Insulation period

Typically, bottles are insulated for 8-24 hours, and some can be kept warm for longer than 24 hours or even 48 hours. If you go hiking, any bottle that can keep heat for 8-24 hours is suitable. If you are only doing exercise or working out, you should choose a vacuum bottle with a heat retention time of 6-8 hours.

Design

Vacuum bottles have two parts: the lid and the bottle. There are two types of lids (an inner lid and another outer lid). The function of the lid is to prevent the leakage of steam and heat. The body of the flask has a casing which is usually beautifully decorated and designed.

Most vacuum flasks are cylindrical in shape and are intended to be held in one hand. The flask body also comes in a variety of shapes, but the most popular today is the top-to-bottom round design.

Sealing of the lid

As well as the material and construction of the vacuum flask for trekking, a good gasket should also be of interest as it helps to ensure that the flask is tightly sealed and does not allow heat to escape.

However, when buying direct from the shop, it is advisable to check the fitting section as it can be compromised during transport. A tight fit will prevent water from spilling or leaking. Using a silicone gasket, products with the tightest fitting thermostats must have a screw-in installation and not simply a push-up (button/jack).

Tank capacity and weight

The bottles are usually designed to hold at least 300 ml. Depending on the purpose of use, we can choose a vacuum bottle with the right capacity. If we need a personal vacuum bottle, its capacity will be determined by the amount of water we drink in a day. In a simple requirement, a person needs to drink 1.5-2 litres of water a day. Therefore, please avoid choosing a bottle that is too small. If we pick a 750ml bottle, we will need about 3 bottles a day.

The tank capacity to maintain heat is directly proportional to the weight of the tank. The larger the capacity, the heavier the bottle. If the bottle is too heavy, it can become a burden to carry around.

For people who plan to walk long distances, a vacuum water bottle for hiking, usually with a capacity of 750 ml, would be the best choice. For office workers, who are less active, more capacity is preferred.
